Into the Fray

FLAME / VFX:

Eric currently freelances as a Flame Artist, Colorist, and Visual Effects Supervisor. Cutting his teeth at Imaginary Forces, Eric has had the opportunity to work with clients such as: Disney, RAM, Google, Apple, Sapporo, MTV, Nike, Marvel, and Gillette. He has freelanced extensively for various studios since, with clients such as BMW, Audi, NBC, EA Sports, Expedia, and Zillow.

On the VFX Supervision side, he actively advocates that elements shot on set have all considerations necessary to go smoothly in post. Regarding Flame and Color Grading, he is an excellent communicator and problem solver with an eye for detail and color, working collaboratively with others to find creative solutions that achieve the task at hand. He enjoys facilitating between Director, Producer, Artist, and Client to produce the finest work possible, on time, and on budget.

MUSIC:

Eric has performed as principal cellist for several orchestras over the years as well as being a member of the SCSBOA All-Southern and CODA/CMEA California All-State Honor Orchestras. He is an alumnus of UCLA with a B.A. in Business and Economics with a Minor in Music and New Media, where he performed as a member of the UCLA Philharmonia Orchestra. Over the years, he has played and performed in several small bands as well as recorded as a studio musician. His compositions and sound design have been created for clients including Google, The Natural History Museum, ITVS, as well as other brands. He has performed works at LACMA, the LA Theatre Center, and the Brewery Arts Complex and is the resident composer of the L.A.
